In 2017 my wife Alex and I opened Cut Seven, a boutique fitness studio in Washington DC. I was working two jobs, she was 5 months pregnant, we were scrapping together chips to make it work. Burning the cancel on both ends was awful and exhilarating at the same time.

This newsletter was born in the same vein. We shut down our gym in an effort to slow the spread of Covid-19. We needed to find a way to keep our community healthy, our coaches paid, and give our business a fighting chance.

We are committed to giving giving free content. There are a lot of people out there that could benefit from what we know, and there should be no cost of associated with education. We are also committed to pushing our limits and surrounding ourselves with people willing to push their own.

We’ve never tried to be for everyone and we won’t start now. But if you are willing to have some tough conversations about physical and mental wellness, and try some tough workouts in between, I think we will all end up better because of it.

The Hardest Shit We Do In Life Cannot Be Done Alone.
